About the event 'Flowers in the Mirror'

The Sichuan Opera Troupe performs "Flowers in the Mirror", an opera based on a fundamental work of Chinese literature by Li Ju Chen, at the Grand Théâtre de Provence.

The artists of the Sichuan Opera carry on an ancient tradition, mastering all of the techniques of Chinese opera: kung fu, song, dance, acrobatics, costumes, and incomparable facial expression and make-up.This grand spectacle mixes Chinese myth with European influences, melding into a project that is symbolic of the meeting of the cultures.

The performance is sure to enchant audiences of all ages.
