About the event
At the opening concert of the new season 2008/09, Riccardo Muti conducts the Viennese Philharmoniker (Wiener Philharmoniker) and presents compositions by Verdi and Rota. Furthermore, the trombone player Ian Bousfield is the guest soloist and will perform music for trombone and orchestra from the movie Il gattopardo (composition by Nino Rota).
