About the event
With the boom of the ‘Mega-City’, more than half of the world’s population is now living in cities such as Cairo, Mexico-City or Jakarta. This produces a strong and dynamic environment. The Ensemble Modern has therefore invited composers to take part in their project "into...". For this special project four composers are going to live and work for four weeks in Istanbul, Dubai, Johannesburg or the Pearl River Delta. The presentation of their creations - a compositional approximation for each city - will be performed at the Konzerthaus Berlin.Artists
