ABOUT THE EVENT
Charlottenburg Palace, the sumptuous Baroque summer residence of Prussian kings, has been a center for artistic creation and appreciation since its early days. This new concert series at Charlottenburg Palace's Grand Orangery offers locals and tourists a unique opportunity to experience Berlin's Baroque era.
In a truly exquisite candlelight ambiance, the Berlin Palace Orchestra presents masterpieces of music, sweeping audiences away to the golden era of Baroque and Classical music. Enjoy this musical journey back in time at one of the most historic and exclusive venues in Berlin. All members of the orchestra and staff members are dressed in historic costumes, creating a unique combination of the magic of times past and the amenities of modern day life.
The Berlin Palace Orchestra has been formed exclusively for the concert series at Charlottenburg Palace. All members of the ensemble are highly professional and respected musicians from Berlin who show a deep understanding of, and love for late Baroque and Classical music. Endowed with a truly special feeling for the music, the orchestra presents the most outstanding works of this remarkable era to today's audience.
The evening:
Before the concert, you will enjoy an exclusive dinner consisting of the Orangery Menu at the restaurant Orangerie (also in the Orangerie Charlottenburg).
Dinner is followed by a concert including masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, King Frederick the Great, Luigi Boccerini, Georg Friedrich Händel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by the Berlin Palace Orchestra.
Important information:
Ahead of the evening, please go to the "kleine Orangerie Charlottenburg" in the Orangerie Charlottenburg (the address is Spandauer Damm 22-24, 14059 Berlin). Please show your received Classictic-Voucher in order to pick up the tickets for the dinner and concert there. Opening hours: Monday till Saturday 9.00 am till 6.00 pm.
