About the event 'Danube Waltz Concert, Cruise & Dinner'

Since Johann Strauss'  waltzes "An der schönen blauen Donau“, the river Danube has enjoyed a special bond to the Viennese music world!

With this package, you will enjoy a cruise on the Danube, a great dinner and a concert at Schönbrunn castle. The concert will, of course, include melodies by Johann Strauss - played by the Schloss Schönbrunn Orchestra of Vienna.

The concert will take place at the Orangerie, a part of the famous Schloss Schönbrunn, which is included in the UNESCO-World Heritage register.
The dinner - a 3-course meal -  will be served at the Café-Restaurant Residenz:

-Salmon variations
-Turkey filet with tomatoes and special Duchess potatoes
-Mousse au Chocolat from the Landtmanns Patisserie
-The restaurant will serve also a vegetarian menu!
(Drinks not included.)

The cruise by the DDSG company departs daily at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:00pm from Schwedenplatz, and it returns there as well. From there it is easy to get to the concert at the castle, which is located at the U4-Tube Station "Schönbrunn".

- your choice of the morning or afternoon: Cruise "Große Donaurundfahrt" departure from the Schwedenplatz. Our suggested cruise time: from 2pm to 5.20pm
- 6.00pm Dinner at Café́-Restaurant Residenz
- from 8.00pm entrance Orangerie Schönbrunn
- 8.30pm Concert
- c. 10.15pm end of the performance
