ABOUT THE EVENT

The "Best of Mozart Festungskonzert" (Salzburg Fortress Concert), with its 300 concerts a year, is widely regarded as one of the most important chamber music series in the world. Highly qualified musicians and internationally recognised soloists offer excellent performances of the works of W. A. Mozart.

The "Best of Mozart Festungskonzert" offer not only the highest quality musical experience, but the special atmosphere of the 900 year old Festung Hohensalzburg as well. It is the hallmark of the "Mozart City" of Salzburg and the view of the city and surrounding countryside from the concert hall is beyond compare.

Between the 12th July and 21th July 2012, the concerts will be performed open air at the court yard of the castle. In case of bad wether, the concert will take place at the Goldenen Saal.

You can also enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner in the beautiful setting of the restaurant "Festung Hohensalzburg" before the concert. Dinner and concert can be booked as a package under "Hohensalzburg Castle Dinner & Best of Mozart Concert".

The concert venue unfortunately does not provide access for people with limited mobility.
