About 'Iglesia Sant Jaume'

Neither its name nor its appearance suggests that this church bears any relation to the Jewish culture that once flourished in the city. However, the site of the Sant Jaume Church was, for many centuries, the old synagogue of Barcelona. The church is located on Calle Ferran, one of the busiest shopping and commercial streets in the city. Calle Ferran is located in what is commonly referred to as the Call Menor, and extension of the original Jewish Quarter (El Call).
