The pianist Aleksandr Paley performs "All Piano Concertos by Tchaikovsky" at the Congress Concert Hall in Vilinius.

Aleksandr Paley, the charismatic piano virtuoso, who charms audiences on the world stages, comes back to the Vilnius Congress Concert Hall with new challenging programmes every time.

In 2006, together with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) conducted by Maestro Rinkevičius, he played all the piano concertos by Beethoven in two concerts. This time he has another challenge – all three piano concertos by Tchaikovsky, which is a unique chance to enjoy the genius’ music and at the same time to compare compositions of the same genre but written at a different time: youthful and emotional, popular from the first performance Concerto No 1, seldom performed but valued by the composer himself as one of his best compositions Concerto No 2, and the famous Concerto No 3 in B minor that was born from the composer’s incomplete symphony and performed only after his death.
