Steamboat Bill is the last independent production by Buster Keaton and a masterpiece. Do you remember the stunt? A cyclone breaks down a house and the entire building facade collapses onto him. The attic window fits neatly around Buster's body. It has been claimed that if he had stood just inches off of the correct spot Keaton would have been seriously injured or killed.
Steamboat Bill, Jr. is the story of a naive, college-educated dandy who must prove himself to his working-class father, a hot-headed riverboat captain, while courting the daughter of his father's rival, who threatens to put Steamboat Bill, Sr. and his paddle-wheeler out of business.
