Enjoy a quintessentially English concert devoted to the music of Edward Elgar, featuring four familiar yet distinctive works, performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.

The Serenade for Strings, full of youthful charm, and the melodious Chanson de Matin provide a wonderful showcase for the Orchestra’s string section. Sea Pictures, five wonderful 'seascape' poems that highlight the changing moods and colours of the sea, were composed around the same time as the magnificent ‘Enigma’ Variations, featuring the stirring Nimrod variation, profound and nationalistic in style.

Mezzo-soprano Christine Rice joins the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for a wonderfully English evening of music in London.
