Star conductor Franz Welser-Möst gives a guest performance at the Music Festival Grafenegg with the Cleveland Orchestra, which is among the top US orchestras.

The concert programme comprises two central subjects in music: The "Tragic" Symphony in C minor reflects moments of extreme inner conflict experienced by the then 19-year-old Schubert. With his tone poem "A Hero’s Life", Richard Strauss created a sounding memorial for a nameless hero, thereby setting his multifaceted powers of imagination to music.
