The "Gasteig" developed since its opening in the year 1985 to a center of cultural life in Munich. It is central and highly visible situated on the right side of the Isar. The house accommodates renowned culture and institutions for constitution of the state capital Munich.

With more than 1,700 events a year the "Gasteig" offers a multicolored and various program.
