The cellist Vytautas Sondeckis performs with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Saulius Sondeckis in Vilnius.

Tchaikovsky’s romantic music for cello will be performed at the concert. Tchaikovsky himself adored Mozart and called him “Christ of music”. Therefore, “Mozartiana”, in which Mozart’s music is used, is so graceful and elegant that it is often used by choreographers including George Balanchine. The variations on the theme of Rococo are classically playful but at the same time full of challenges for cellists, who perform at the widest timber amplitude – from the lowest tones of the cello to the highest of the violin.
