演出简介
The OBC will perform works by Beethoven and Brahms, under the baton of Pablo González, in this wonderful concert at the Auditori of Barcelona.
This will mark the second session in which OBC conductor Pablo González will compare the style of Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms.
In Beethoven's Second Symphony, dating from 1802, we see an incipient maturity in the romantic style of this German composer heralding his later successes, with his Third Symphony “Eroica” on the horizon. Brahms, however, wrote his Second Symphony straight after finishing his First and having overcome his fear of being compared with this earlier genius. This work is, therefore, is less gloomy, direct and free, revealing the composer's introspective nature without preventing a truly romantic lyricism and a highly classical work from unfolding.
Experience this richly moving programme at the Auditori in Barcelona.
