演出简介 'Altre Stelle'

The Grand Théâtre de Provence presents "Altre Stelle, or Love, Which Sets the Sun and the Other Stars in Motion", an innovative operatic production comprised of excerpts from Hippolyte et Aricie (Rameau) Orpheus and Eurydice and Armide (Gluck), Medea (Cherubini), and other operas.

Mezzo-soprano Anna Caterina Antonacci, who has sung triumphantly at La Scala, the Opéra de Paris, and Covent Garden, performs in a sentimental epic of a new kind. Alone on stage, she brings the great tragic heroines to life with powerful emotion. Phaedra, Medea, or Dido fight for love and honor in a remarkable production directed by Juliette Deschamps. The musical direction is in the experienced and capable hands of François-Xavier Roth.
