Matthias Grünert is the first cantor of the reopened Frauenkirche Dresden. Since 2005 he founded the great choir of the Frauenkirche and the chamber choir. He won several awards for organ. Various recordings on CD, TV- and broadcastrecordings show his rich engagement.

The choir of the Frauenkirche Dresden was founded in 2005 by the cantor Matthias Grünert. It consists of 30 singer. The repertoire is mainly devoted to the 17th and 18th century oratory aswell as a-capella-works.
