Glazunov, Dvorak and Bartok with the NOB and Walter Weller

One year before he became its Musical Director, Walter Weller made an enthusiastically received recording of Glazunov's Fifth with the National Orchestra of Belgium. Along with this unjustly neglected gem, tonight's programme includes Dvorák's Cello Concerto.
Dvořák's friend and mentor Johannes Brahms praised the concerto: "Why on earth didn't I know that one could write a cello concerto like this? If I had only known, I would have written one long ago!"
The soloist is none other than Truls Mørk, who has already shone in this work under the great Mariss Jansons.
