The National Orchestra of Belgium presents an afternoon with a Mediterranean flavour. At the heart of this concert we hear the guitars of the Assad brothers in a double concerto dedicated to Alexandre Lagoya by its composer, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, in exile far from his native Tuscany. The other works include Tchaikovsky's Capriccio italien, a homage to the composer's favourite country.
